Mr. No-Logo launches an hommage to the Bristol music scene tradition with “Bristol's Massive” (Day 039) an "orange" rough-house of downtempo and breakbeat influences, touching down upon a trip-hop fusion of dark ambient and electro, and drawing from a mixed bag of vocalese sampladelics with electronica. "2ndary" interprets dictaphone allegory, where "Mook" and "Tha Loop" pick up on a hummed bar of rare groove – a starting point for Mr. No-Logo's eclectic approach to electronic music composition.
Day For Night label compilation “The Inner Cinema” (Day 010) highlights multi-tasking composer Eric Scott in producer / instrumentalist roles. Donning his remix cap, he weaves 18 original tracks and presents us with his personal, sonic mind-map, mashing up the cinematic vs. the narrative; aggro vs. paranoiac; ambient vs. atmospheric.
Mr. No-Logo ups the energy levels on “Graceless” (Day 049) from downtempo to wilder breakbeats, reflecting a trip-hop fusion of dark ambient and electro, and drawing from a mixed bag of vocalese sampladelics with electronica. "Tha Loop" picks up on a hummed bar of rare groove in this sophomoric release.
The Amundsen Diaries (Day 059) on the Day For Night imprint is a de-construction of Mr. No-Logo's eccentric, swirling basslines, set over a musical travelogue as the Amundsen-Scott diaries are published to music and narrated aloud by musical navigator and DJ Scott himself (Eric, that is...)
